Update on florentine bag

I wanted to set the colours for this bag and gaily sailed on upwards from the dark green foundation row.
Then, I needed four rows to fill in the gaps at the bottom and there I came adrift.
These colours don't really fit in and will have to come out.   Perhaps I will just do a repeat of the very top?   Any suggestions welcome.

How about repeating the brown section which is just above the greens - it's so hard to know what will work till you try it.

Oh dear - yes, I agree - I'd go back to the top colors....

I like it the way it is. This looks like a project I want to do!

This is such a beautiful project! But I do think the blues from the top would look very nice against the dark green :) I also think the contrast at the very top is too much; perhaps you could also take out the little bits of beige and add the greens instead, so it gives the sense of a repeat? And if that doesn't work, maybe you could try the black and grey rows from the middle? Hope you figure out something you like!

I like the blues myself. It's not often you see something where the colours jar quite so much!

I agree Margaret that the light colours don't really go at the bottom. Perhaps if you stitched some green at the very top in between the blue that is already there, you could see if the colours suited each other and then you could fill in with blue at the bottom so that the colours are in the right order.
