Oh yes how lovely and addictive, I started off with one pair for really cold days, then thought 'if I make more pairs they won't wear out'.....stopped counting at 40 pairs.
I have about 10 and the rest have been gifts, I now use beautiful hand dyed yarn sometimes, such fun to knit as the pools of colour appear.

Thanks Ann. It has been a relatively mild winter really but the mornings are chilly when I walk to work. I'm glad of the socks then
