A little progress has been made but with each stitch I am regretting choosing such a thick twill fabric. It will wear well but it is hard to stitch on :-(
I have just recently retired from work. I love to stitch - mainly traditional pieces of counted work always in Linen and generally with DMC or silks. My other love is reading and I visit the local library nearly every week. My elderly mother lives with me. She is increasingly deaf and quite blind and in this blog is known affectionately as the DBEM.

Looking really pretty Margaret
That's so pretty Margaret, a lovely mix of colours and stitches.
Thanks Ann. I don't really enjoy these but despite that they turn out reasonably well.
Thank you. I'll need to add a few more sunflower for balance I think.
I can see how this would be hard to stitch, but it does look so pretty.
It looks so lovely! Are you using a thimble to help you?
On the whole I am quite pleased with this but my that twill is hard to stitch.
I'm not much good with a thimble. I tend to put one on and then push with other fingers:-)
