Crazy Exchange Christmas Ornament

The mail man was really kind to me yesterday - he left a card telling me to collect a package at the Post Office depot (!!) and also a package for me to open. Inside was a beautiful Christmas Ornament from my partner in the Crazy Exchange, Lisa. No prizes for guessing what part of the world Lisa lives in :-) The beautiful reindeer is stitched in an overdyed moss green thread on a pale cream linen. The backing fabric is great - it has small holly leaves but is not the usual dark look we see in New Zealand but a fresh green "summer holly" colour. Many many thanks Lisa.

Hi Margaret,

That's a lovely present. I love the simplicity of it and the green colour too.

In your previous post you'd mentioned DMC 115 that you're crazy about. I'm going to have to check that out because I read that on someone else's blog too. Must be something in the air!

Hi Margaret, I am soo pleased that you liked what I stitched for you. I chose the reindeer because it was different, but still gave off that christmas feel to it, I thought it was simple yet beautiful, and decided to give the flower that little splash of red as the original pattern was all the same colour.
It was my first exchange with Crazy Exchange and I really enjoyed stitching for you.
Regards LISA V.

Margaret,
I really love the reindeer and would never have thought of doing it in green! I would love to stitch it, do you know the designer?
Best wishes....Denise
