The Shift

Yesterday the packers came and my life was reduced to 149 labelled items.

After which the three hefty males loaded them onto the container  ... then all set and ready to go.

Early next week we move into  our new place and then after the unpacking is over my retirement life will begin  in earnest.   Stitching has begun too and photos will follow in a day or two.

Oh Margaret, it must feel strange to see all your possessions in boxes. I've been wondering what stage your move is currently at and hope that it all goes smoothly.

Praying you through what has to be a trying
exercise, but have faith, soon you will be
settled into new quarters and resuming a new normal routine... Blessings and success

Thankyou. The DBEM has now seen the outside and approves. Tomorrow I get the keys and we look inside.

Thankyou very much. It is a big move but well planned - for and I'm sure will go well.

Thanks Ann. We saw the outside today and tomorrow rake full possession. All the belongings arrive Tuesday and then the work begins.

Hope it all went well, please count your boxes and examine everything for damage, much easier to get a good result for anything missing or damaged if you get onto it right away.
Can't wait to hear that you are settled in and enjoying your new home. I have moved many times and find it best to put everything approximately where it was (so you can find things) then fine tune placement later when you see how your new spaces work.
Good luck, pace yourself and enjoy some crafting breaks, some mindless knitting is great relaxation.

So you're moving right before Christmas? That must be extra stress full! I hope everything will go alright and that you'll settle in soon.
